Checo Perez, Franco Colapinto, and Gabriel Bortoleto Photographed Hugging at the Formula 1 Test
The Latin American drivers were photographed hugging in the paddock, and they are taking social media by storm
Latin American representatives in Formula 1
There is less than a month left until the new Formula 1 season begins, with the preseason tests in Bahrain already in their second day, and there is already a Latin revolution in the paddock. Checo Pérez, Franco Colapinto, and Gabriel Bortoleto were photographed three of them hugging and walking together in the early days of the preseason tests, showing a good relationship among the Latin American drivers who are currently competing in Formula 1.
One photo, three countries, one dream
The Alpine team shared the photo where the three drivers can be seen walking side by side, on the eve of the new season and the regulatory changes. The three look very happy and excited in the photo during this three-day test period, and hope to arrive at the first race of the season at the Australian Grand Prix, which will take place on March 6.
How are the drivers approaching this season?
Bortoleto comes from a season with ups and downs at the Kick Sauber team, which is now transforming into Audi, and he will seek to get the best out of his car in this new season with regulatory changes. Franco Colapinto did not have an ideal season by any means, failing to score a single point and having stepped into the car as a replacement for Jack Doohan without any prior training or testing. However, at times, due to the limitations of the car and the team that ended up in last place, he was able to outperform his teammate both in qualifying and in the race. Lastly, Checo Pérez returns to Formula 1 after his controversial departure from Red Bull. The Mexican driver gets back into a single-seater, this time with the Cadillac logo, and will seek to establish himself in this new Formula 1.
